Amino acids
Amino acids are chemical compounds that form long chains and form the basic structure of proteins. They are found in all living organisms and perform numerous important functions in the human body. The body can produce some of the amino acids itself; these are therefore referred to as non-essential. The essential amino acids, on the other hand, cannot be produced independently and must be taken in regularly through food.
GABA, L-alanine, L-arginine, L-asparagine, L-citrulline, L-cysteineL-glutamine, L-histidine, L-isoleucine, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-methionine, L-ornithine, L-phenylalanine, L-proline, L-serine, L-threonine, L-tryptophan, L-tyrosine, L-valine, L-glutathione, L-theanine, Creatine, glycine

Stress parameters

FP-DETOX*, FP-Oxidative-SRS*², FP-Hcyst*

Enzymes
Enzymes are complex protein molecules that act as “accelerators” (also known as biocatalysts) of biochemical reactions and metabolic processes in the human body. This means that they accelerate biochemical reactions by reducing the necessary activation energy.
Bromelain, papain, pepsin, nattokinase¹

Minerals
Minerals are essential nutrients that must be taken in with food and that the human body needs for numerous functions. Minerals are divided into bulk and trace elements. Bulk elements are present in the body in relatively large quantities, whereas trace elements are only present in small quantities.
Boron, iron, iodinepotassium, selenium, silicon, calcium, magnesium, chromium, copper, manganese, zinc, germanium ¹, lithium ¹

Secondary plant substances
Secondary plant substances are natural chemical compounds in plants that are not essential nutrients. They are formed during plant metabolism and influence the color, aroma and taste of fruit, vegetables and herbs, among other things. These diverse compounds can be responsible for the bright colors of berries or peppers, for example. They are often found in the outer layers, skins and leaves, which is why it can make sense to prepare plant-based foods as freshly and gently as possible.
Sulforaphanelutein, beta-Carotin, quercetin, rutin, resveratrol¹, astaxanthin ¹citrus bioflavonoid ¹, rutin¹PEA¹, epigallocatechin gallate ¹, spermidine¹, sulforaphane ¹, apigenin¹, pomegranate extract (ellagic acid¹), lycopene¹, Olive leaf extract (oleuropein)¹, Rhodiola Rosea extract ¹, zeaxanthin¹

Special parameters
Various substances are included in specialized evaluations in order to cover a broad spectrum of parameters.
FP probiotics, omega-3 fatty acids, chloride, D-ribose, lecithin, pregnenolone¹, SAMe¹, D-ribose¹, ashwagandha¹, MSM¹, pine bark extract¹, curcumin¹, ginseng extract¹, goji berry extract¹, grapefruit seed extract (GSE)¹, melatonin¹, chaga¹, cordyceps¹, hericium¹, reishi¹, schisandra¹

Vitamins
Vitamins are organic compounds and, unlike other nutrients, vitamins do not provide energy. They are substances that the body cannot synthesize itself (with the exception of vitamin D). They are therefore considered essential for humans as they must be taken in with food.
Vit A, Vit B5, Vit B7, Vit D, Vit E, Vit K2, Vit B1, Vit B12, Vit B2, Vit B3, Vit B6, Vit B9, Vit C, Vit K1¹

Vitaminoids
Vitaminoids are vitamin-like substances that comprise a range of different substances and metabolites. They were all initially assigned to the group of vitamins until it was discovered that the body can synthesize them itself. They therefore belong to the group of conditionally essential nutrients.
Choline, Coenzyme Q10, Inositol, L-Carnitine, Taurine, Alpha-Lipoic acid, Vit B15 (Pangamic acid), Vit B10 (PABA), inositol¹

Approximately 30% of Germans do not meet their vitamin D requirements.

According to NDR article
  • According to an NDR article, experts recommend eating a particularly balanced diet rich in micronutrients during the winter months. This can help promote overall balance. The focus is particularly on vitamins such as vitamin D, which receives increased attention due to reduced sunlight exposure in winter.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Finde passende Antworten zu:

How do I send in my hair sample correctly?
Cut off 10–20 hairs as close to the scalp as possible and put them into a small paper or plastic bag. Stick the bag onto your submission form (the PDF from your order confirmation) at the marked spot. Please never put loose hairs into the envelope – inside the bag the sample stays protected during transport. Then fold the submission form, put it into a normal envelope and send it by post to the address given in the confirmation. At the same time, fill in the online questionnaire at fragebogen.medicross.com with your order number.
How many hairs are needed for the hair test?
We need 10 to 20 hairs for a reliable evaluation. The hairs should be freshly cut, clean, and dry. If you don't have enough head hair, you can also use body hair.
What hair length do I need for the test?
Hair length doesn't matter. Even very short hairs of just a few millimeters work, as long as you can gather the required 10–20 hairs. What counts is the number, not the length.
What do I do if I'm bald or have very little hair?
The test works perfectly fine even with a bald head, very thin hair, or bald patches. Use body hair instead — beard, chest, underarm, or leg hair work just as well as head hair. Combed-out or fallen hair without roots is also suitable, as long as you can gather the minimum of 10–20 hairs.
How does the Medicross hair analysis work?
You cut off 10–20 hairs, put them into a small paper or plastic bag and stick it onto the submission form from your order confirmation at the marked spot. You send both to us by post. At the same time, you fill in our online questionnaire with your personal order number. Your sample is then analysed and you receive your written evaluation as a PDF by email.
* Legal disclaimer
The products offered at www.medicross.com — such as „Intolerance Test“, „Micronutrient Test“, „Microplastic Test“ or „Heavy Metal Test“, along with their variants for pets — serve exclusively as individual, complementary wellness orientation. The names are used in a non-medical, everyday context. Our tests are based on alternative methods that do not involve any biochemical, molecular-biological, or cellular analysis. They have no medical purpose and are not equivalent to conventional medical lab tests or in-vitro diagnostics under EU Regulation (EU) 2017/746 (IVDR). The results are intended for subjective reflection on individual resonance patterns — in humans as well as animals — and do not replace medical or veterinary assessment. Our tests are expressly not intended to determine medically relevant parameters such as allergies or deficiency conditions. They constitute no diagnosis, contain no treatment recommendation, and are not suitable for the prevention, treatment, or monitoring of illnesses. We expressly point out that our tests and content: do not constitute or replace a medical diagnosis; are not intended to detect, treat, monitor, or prevent illnesses or health disorders; are not suitable for self-medication or therapy adjustment. None of the content represents a healing promise or efficacy claim. Diagnoses and treatment decisions may only be made by licensed medical doctors. For any health-related questions, qualified medical advice must always be sought. Every individual acts on their own responsibility. All product images and illustrations are symbolic and have no diagnostic or scientific value. The micronutrient analysis results in a need-percentage value, which is to be understood as a guide value. Expressly noted: this is not about deficiency symptoms. In intolerance tests, all parameters that do not react beyond a threshold value are hidden. The intolerance test does not include any test for allergies.
What approach does Medicross take?
Our approach is based on holistic and complementary ways of thinking, without making medical diagnoses or healing promises. Rather, we want to support you in shaping your lifestyle individually, consciously, and on your own terms. You can find more details in our Disclaimer*

Does the test work with a vegan or vegetarian diet?
Yes, the test is independent of your diet. The micronutrient analysis can be especially interesting for vegetarians (around 22% of our survey participants) and vegans (around 12%), because certain vitamins and minerals (e.g. B12, iron, zinc) are absorbed differently from plant-based foods.³ Please indicate your diet in the questionnaire so we can place the analysis into the right context.
When can micronutrient needs increase?
During phases of higher demand — intense training, a demanding daily life, hormonal changes, periods of growth — your individual need for vitamins, minerals, and trace elements can shift. If you often feel out of balance or notice changes in your skin, hair, or nails, it can be helpful to take a conscious look at your nutritional and lifestyle habits.
Is the Combo Test useful for athletes?
During phases of intense physical exertion, your individual need for vitamins, minerals, and trace elements can change. Nearly half of our survey participants regularly do endurance sports, and about a third also do strength training.³ The micronutrient analysis can give athletes impulses to reflect more consciously on their supply — complementing training and nutrition plans, but without replacing sports-medicine diagnostics.
Can I take the test during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
For any questions about nutrition during this phase of life, please always consult your doctor, midwife, or a qualified nutritional advisor.
Do medications like cortisone or the pill affect my result?
Since our procedure isn't a biochemical blood measurement, you can usually take the test even while on medication — for example cortisone, the pill, antibiotics, antidepressants, painkillers, or thyroid medication. Please list your current medications and supplements in the online questionnaire — this helps us with the assessment. Any change to your medication should be discussed exclusively with your treating physician.
Can I take the hair test with dyed hair?
Yes — dyed, tinted, or chemically treated hair doesn't affect the result. You can send it in without any concerns. The same applies to hair after a perm, straightening, bleaching, or highlights. The only requirement is that it's clean and dry.
How long does it take to receive my test result?
Once your hair sample arrives with us, the evaluation usually takes around 18 business days. With the Express service, this time is shortened accordingly. You'll automatically receive an email as soon as your personal evaluation is ready.
In what format do I receive my test results?
You receive your evaluation as a PDF document by email. That way you can open it on your phone, tablet, or computer and print it yourself if you wish. There's no additional postal delivery.
How do I understand my evaluation? What do „Deficiency“ and „Need“ mean?
Your evaluation uses clear scales and plain terms: „Deficiency“ points to areas where our analysis shows a clearly pronounced pattern. „Need“ describes a more moderate signal — where it can be worth paying more conscious attention to certain food groups or routines in your daily life. The percentage values next to them express the intensity of the individual resonance. Both terms are meant as an impulse for reflection and don't replace a medical diagnosis.
Who can I contact with questions about my evaluation?
Our team of nutritional scientists is available by email or phone. You can also book a consultation directly if you'd like to go through your results together.
How do I order the Combo Test?
Choose the Combo Test in our online shop, add it to your cart, and follow the checkout process. After completion, you'll receive a confirmation email with your personal submission sheet to print yourself and all further information.
Do I receive a test kit by mail?
No, we deliberately do not ship a test kit. Instead, after your order you receive your personal submission form as a PDF by email to print out yourself. You put your hair sample into a small paper or plastic bag and stick it onto the printed submission form at the marked spot. You put both into a normal envelope and send it to us. This saves shipping time and packaging waste, and speeds up the process for you.
I haven't received an order confirmation — what should I do?
Depending on the payment method, it can take up to 24 hours for the confirmation with the submission sheet to reach you. Please also check your spam or promotions folder first. If after 24 hours you still haven't found it, write to us at info@medicross.com — we'll send you the confirmation manually.
Can I use the Combo Test for several people?
Each Combo Test is designed for one person, since the evaluation is created individually. If you'd like to test a partner, children, or other people, please order a separate test per person.
Can I revoke or cancel my order?
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal after your order — but only as long as you haven't downloaded your submission sheet yet. With the download of the submission sheet, the service begins and the right of withdrawal expires early. Once the 14-day period has passed or the submission sheet has already been downloaded, cancellation is no longer possible. As long as both conditions are met, simply send us an email with your order number to info@medicross.com.
